We had the best time chilling on the rooftop and taking in the epic view of Rio. The staff were super cool and always had our backs. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was so friendly and we felt totally safe walking around, even at night. We had the raddest experience being part of the favela community. Definitely recommend it for a true Rio adventure!
Only thing we wished for was more happening nightlife near the hostel. We wanted to party hard but had to go a bit further for the really wild nights.

The decoration of the hotel was charming and had a cozy feeling, with colorful walls and beautiful artwork. The general areas, such as the terrace and balcony, were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the surrounding area. As a senior woman, I found the hotel's accessibility to be excellent, as the staff was always ready to assist me with carrying my luggage and navigating the steep path to the hostel.
I would have appreciated more seating options with backrests in the general areas for better comfort during my stay.

The view from the rooms was simply stunning, even more breathtaking than the pictures. We felt completely safe in the favela, and the friendly locals made us feel welcome. The hostel's location was perfect, as it was within walking distance of Santa Teresa. The breakfast provided was simple yet delicious, offering everything we needed to start our day. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the quick WiFi was a bonus. This was an authentic Brazilian experience that we will cherish forever!
My wife says that it would have been even better if the bed sheets were renewed and if there was an air conditioner installed.

The breakfast was nice with a variety of fruits and good coffee. The location felt safe and was close to local shops, restaurants, and bus stops. Easy access to popular attractions like Christ the Redeemer. a work in progress but with potential for improvement.

Our stay at Pousada Favelinha was absolutely amazing. The view from our room was breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset. The staff, especially Matti, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was delicious, with fresh bread, fruits, cheese, and ham. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, making us feel at home. Despite initial concerns about safety, we felt completely secure throughout our stay. The nearby Santa Teresa neighborhood was charming with its bars, restaurants, and cobbled streets. While it was a bit of a trek to the taxi or bus station, the walk was worth it for the genuine experience of Rio. we highly recommend Pousada Favelinha for an unforgettable stay in Rio de Janeiro.

Stunning, world-class views! Had the place to myself with 2 cute cats and 2 lovable dogs. Peaceful and felt totally safe and comfortable. Delicious breakfasts and yummy dinner made by Andrea. Can't forget the amazing caipirinhas! the staff was very friendly and helpful. the rooms were clean and breakfast was great with tropical fruits. We felt absolutely safe in the area. the price for the rooms was very moderate. Take the city trip and musical trip offered by the staff. There is a little restaurant close by with good food and a breathtaking view from the terrace!
Getting to the hotel was a bit challenging, either a steep walk or climb. But the local taxis are cheap and if they drop you off at the top entrance it's not too bad.
